Description

The subjects of the design converter Placto, who secretly works for the Zaibach Empire, have suspected Van and his friends to have committed high betrayal against the Kingdom of Astoria. Although Prince Cid does not like to believe, he must take the King Farnelia's and his men in vigilance. Hitomi's forces uncamouflage Placto and Cid's father, the Duke of Flaid, draws to war against the Zaibach Empire with Van's help and that of the Escaflowne. The young throne follower takes on the conditions that the Zaibach place his Duchy. Van, Allen and Hitomi now have to act quickly and leave the country as soon as possible. However, Dilandau prevents them from escaping and hurts vans heavily. While Van suffers from unmanageable pain, his friends try to find out where their serious wounds come from although only the escaflowne could have been allowed to cause damage. Dryden Fassa, the son of a rich astorian dealer, explains the situation: As with all Ispano Guymelefs, the Pilot of the Escaflowne must take a kind of symbiosis. If the mecha is damaged, the pilot will feel unsightly pain. If the robot is destroyed, the pilot dies. The only way to save van is to * the Escaflowne. But how should this do without the help of the Ispano?
