The National Poultry Improvement Plan proions, as contained in Title 9, Chapter I, Parts 145 and 147 of the Code of Federal Regulations, provide for recognition of different classes or types of fowl as follows: Subpart b-egg-type Chickens; Subpart c-meat-type Chickens; Subpart D Turkeys; and Subpart E-waterfowl, Exhibition Poultry, and Game Birds. Participants handling egg and meat-type chickens as well as those handling turkeys are listed in a separate publication in this series.
