Description
Gustavo Adolfo Dom?nguez Bastida, who would later adopt the name of B?cquer, belonging to his noble predecessors of Flanders, was born in Seville on 17 February 1836. He was orphaned in his infancy. This marked his sensitivity towards life. He is the romantic poet to have left the deepest mark in Spanish poetry. Having suffered tuberculosis, he died in Madrid on 25 December 1870. His Rimas are poems which are full of pain and love. His Legends are short narratives loaded with musicality and passion. He sometimes tells us how he heard them or how he imagined them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustavo_Adolfo_B%C3%A9cquer#Legends class='edebe'>Rights sold to Chile and Mexico
