China: The Church's Long March

0 - Default Title
Description
When missionary David Adeney reached China in 1934, Mao Zedong was just beginning his long march. Fifteen years later, Mao's armies had driven Chiang Kai-shek's forces from the mainland, and China was under his control. Missionaries had to leave, and the Church faced serious difficulties. The ten tumultuous years of the Cultural Revolution were eradicating China's ancient traditions and threatening the Church as well. Yet even more conservative estimates indicate that the Church has grown more than tenfold since 1949. Surely this is evidence of God's soverreign grace and protection for His people.
