There is food for thought on the issue of mobilizing non-oil tax revenues: the case of corporate tax in Chad and Cameroon, as it is a current issue and constitutes a major challenge facing many sub-Saharan countries. Thus, corporate tax, through its cross-cutting aspect, has caught our attention as an essential lever in tax revenue collection. The study provides a general overview of corporate tax in Chad and Cameroon. It highlights the counter-cyclical aspects where the reduction of its rate seems to favor the establishment of businesses. This analysis is useful insofar as both countries express a need for financing to boost their economies, create wealth, reduce unemployment and therefore, initiate their respective development.
