Description
The "Internet of things" is considered as a particularly promising area of technology. It aims at the distribution of infrastructures that are able to communicate independently with the help of the wireless connection of objects, mobile devices and existing networks such as the Internet. The "Internet of things" is the second topic area of the Education Ministry's (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF) newly designed initiative for the early detection of qualification requirements. The ultimate aim is to recognise qualification requirements early and to include those into the vocational policymaking process. The focus of this anthology is on three fields of application requiring new qualification potentials: "smart house", logistics and industrial production.
