TECHNOLOGICAL GAPS IN SWEET ORANGE CULTIVATION

TECHNOLOGICAL GAPS IN SWEET ORANGE CULTIVATION

0 - Default Title
Description
Sweet orange is an important fruit crop that sustains the livelihood of many farmers in India. Despite the availability of scientifically recommended cultivation practices, their adoption by growers is often partial, creating technological gaps that limit productivity, quality, and profitability. This book, based on a field study in the Jalna district of Maharashtra, India, examines the extent of adoption, knowledge levels, and constraints faced by sweet orange growers. Using an ex-post facto research design with data from 120 farmers, the study explores how socio-economic factors such as education, landholding, income, extension contact, and risk orientation influence adoption behaviour.
