Recently, wireless communication, network technology, wireless sensor networks, high definition television, and static radar have witnessed tremendous growth, resulting in requirements for higher channel capacity and link reliability. To meet these requirements, Ultra-wideband microstrip antennas (UWB) is developed to achieve low cost, high data rates, multiple channels, simultaneous networking, compact size, and low power. UWB devices have a spectrum that occupies a bandwidth greater than 20% of the center frequency or an absolute bandwidth greater than 500MHz. In this book, a goal is demonstrate the guideline procedures to design UWB microstrip antennas with good performance. The design procedure of (UWB) antenna is demonstrated based on the excitation of characteristics modes in slotted planar structure as well as using cavity backed antennas.
