Integrating CDA with Functional Theory of Political Campaign Discourse

Integrating CDA with Functional Theory of Political Campaign Discourse

0 - Default Title
Description
The aim of this book is to implement a new and so far unfamiliar theoretical perspective into political televised speeches of US President Trump vs. North Korean President Kim Jong-un. The unfamiliar analytical tool adopted is Benoit (2002) functional theory of political campaign discourse integrated with critical discourse analysis. Although this theory discussed here originated on the grounds of American empiricism, it aspires to be perceived as an international theory which may be successfully applied in analysis of political messages in various countries to attempt at verifying its adequacy.
