Description
Every day, we come into contact with numerous substances that surround us, from birth to the end of our existence, a phenomenon defined under the concept of the exposome. Some substances have the ability to mimic our body's natural hormones and trigger health problems, especially during periods of vulnerability; these are known as "endocrine disruptors".They are found in pesticides, cosmetics, food packaging, plastics and more. They are ubiquitous in the environment and are a major contributor to homo-dependent diseases. They threaten the public health of our time and pollute our environment, some of them being persistent. Their impact is likely to worsen in the decades to come.Prevention is one of the most effective ways of dealing with these substances. For a long time, they have been ignored and remain little known in Congolese and sometimes African society. But the effects of these substances can cause health problems, so we have an obligation to understand them and stay healthy.
