The two compositions presented on the first disc by the Zefiro Ensemble are part of their recording of Mozart's complete works for 'Harmonie' or wind ensemble, a repertoire comprising seven divertimenti and three serenades. The 'Gran Partita' is an outstanding piece, full of imagination and absolutely teeming with new ideas. The second disc features arrangements for 13 instruments of music from Mozart's three Da Ponte operas: Le nozze di Figaro K492, Don Giovanni K527, Così fan tutte K588.
