They render assistance to a huge, damaged vessel called the Nth Degree, a time ship that has been set upon by six warships of the Morritite Federation.Blasting two ships to pieces, they are captured and "encouraged" to repair a ship so it can return to their own time. With the extensive repairs completed, McClintock and his crew are ordered to use their vessel to "seal a hole in space" so it will remain sealed once the ship departs their time. In a no-win situation, the captain agrees.What consequences will befall the Blackthorn's crew, and how will their actions affect their lives?
