The focus of education is shifted considerably from direct teaching to indirect teaching where learning receives maximum attention. Modern library environment has changed a lot due to the technology driven processes and practices. This transformation in teaching and library practices necessitates proper restructuring of library management and services. The increased teaching role of librarians is substantiated to cope up with the situation in order to provide effective services to the users.
