Description

Double bill of adventure movies. In 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl' (2003), when Elizabeth (Keira Knightley), the daughter of Governor Swann (Jonathan Pryce), is kidnapped by Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) and his band of pirates, lovelorn Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) goes to her rescue. Needing help to get on board the pirates' ship, Will enlists eccentric captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and quickly sets off in pursuit. However, with the crew of the Black Pearl cursed to spend their time between the living and the dead and only the blood of Elizabeth able to lift the spell, the pair face a race against time to overcome the undead crew and rescue her before it's too late. 'National Treasure' (2004) follows Benjamin Franklin Gates (Nicolas Cage), an archaeologist from the seventh generation of a family of treasure-seekers who have all shared the same quest: to discover the whereabouts of an old war chest full of gold hidden by the founding fathers in the last days of the Revolutionary War. Benjamin must work against the clock to unravel the clues embedded in the original drafts of two key historical documents - the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence - before his criminal ex-partner Ian Howe (Sean Bean), or the FBI, led by Agent Sadusky (Harvey Keitel), get their hands on the loot. Helping him in his quest is beautiful archivist Abigail Chase (Diane Kruger).
