All the individual aspects that made the band so distinctive and exciting--Tom Cochrane s passionate vocals, Ken Greer s eerie slide guitar work and the atmospheric keyboards of Steve Sexton--mesh together here to create a cohesive body of work, unified by the lyrical themes of escape and hope. So, considering how effectively these 10 songs fit together, it s curious as to why Red Rider s label, Capitol Records, chose to include White Hot from the band s debut \u003ci\u003eDon t Fight It\u003c\/i\u003e, Lunatic Fringe from \u003ci\u003eAs Far As Siam\u003c\/i\u003e and the single version of Light in the Tunnel\/Human Race. While those are essential tracks individually, their presence here disrupts the flow of this otherwise immaculate piece. Imagine the same label tacking a few singles onto the end of the Beatles \u003ci\u003eSgt. Pepper s Lonely Hearts Club Band\u003ci\u003e. No one would stand for that. Though not as an important record as \u003ci\u003eSgt.
