Long considered secondary, this field of historical cartography has been considerably\n revived over the past few decades, with the use of Systems of Geographical Information. Maps\n have thus forward become a source, a tool or even a deciding factor of spatial analysis and they\n hold an unavoidable bearing in the evolution of the city in both the past and the future.
