To shed more light on this relationship, three mediators were integrated into the path analysis: family-work conflict, career self-efficacy, and the supervisor's anticipation of career success. Family-work conflict and the supervisor's anticipation of career success are significantly related to career self-efficacy. Furthermore, the supervisor's anticipation of career success influences the employee's career disengagement. The results also pointed to gender-specific differences in the tension between family and career. Furthermore, the results show that the supervisor plays a significant role in the interaction between family and career. Consequently, supervisors are called upon to support their employees in role conflict, as the family-work conflict can have a negative impact on their career.","brand":"Our Knowledge Publishing","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53738038722902,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"url":"https:\/\/www.momoxbooks.com\/products\/kistler-simone-family-demands-and-career-disengagement-9786208488994","provider":"momoxbooks","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
