'In The Moment' is the second album from Koln born guitarist Joachim Schoenecker. A confident yet sensitively lyrical musician, Schoenecker has already established quite a reputation for himself on the international jazz scene. His 1997 debut release, 'Common Language', featuring his regular working quartet, was extremely well received by both jazz audiences and critics alike, including Down Beat editor Howard Mandel who announced "Joachim Schoenecker stands tall as a young guitar player of the first order." 'In The Moment', recorded in Germany during 2000, features Schoenecker's regular bassist John Goldsby and two very special guest musicians: saxophonist Chris Potter and drummer Adam Nussbaum. With the exception of two compositions (Day Dream, De Haan) all others are Joachim Schoenecker originals.
