The contributing authors honour Dr. Amini’s work in the area of “dialogue and knowledge-based systems” by showing the complicate interaction between university and agricultural science as well as the fascinating interaction between Cyberspace and rural community in Iran. In the area of “communication and markets” the need of a more complex approach is shown on the paradigm of the geographical area of the EU over a time span of 400 years.
