Die ökologische Krise und die Corona-Pandemie stellen nicht nur Politik und Gesellschaft vor große Herausforderungen, sondern richten auch grundlegende Fragen an den christlichen Glauben und die Theologie. Stimmen unsere Bilder und Narrative von Gott, vom Menschen, von der Mitschöpfung noch? Muss das Verhältnis des Menschen zur Mitschöpfung, das Verständnis von Sünde und Erlösung neu gedacht werden? Welche Beiträge können alte und neue theologische Vorstellungen geben, um die Gegenwart so mitzugestalten, dass eine gute Zukunft für alles Leben möglich ist? Zu diesen Fragestellungen wurde im Juni 2021 eine große digitale theologische Tagung durchgeführt. Die Vorträge, die auf dieser Tagung diskutiert wurden, sowie weitere Beiträge sind im hier vorgelegten Band nachzulesen. Die Herausgeber und die Herausgeberin erhoffen sich eine verstärkte theologische Auseinandersetzung mit der ökologischen Krise in Deutschland wie auch in der weltweiten Ökumene. Mit Beiträgen von Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, Jan Christensen, Constantin Gröhn, Ruth Gütter, Jörg Herrmann, Georg Hofmeister, Sarah Köhler, Diana Lunkwitz , Annette Muhr-Nelson, Wolfgang Schürger, Maximilian von Seckendorff und Dietrich Werner. [The Future in the face of the Ecological Crisis? Thinking Theology Anew] The ecological crisis and the coronavirus pandemic not only pose major challenges for politics and society, but also raise fundamental questions for Christian faith and theology. Are our images and narratives of God, of human being, of co-creation still valid? Is there a need to rethink the relation of human beings to co-creation, the understanding of sin and redemption? How can old and new theological ideas contribute to helping shape the present so that all life may enjoy a good future? A major digital theological conference was held in June 2021 to address these questions. In the volume presented here, one can read the talks discussed at that conference along with other contributions. The editors are hoping for a more engaged theological discussion of the ecological crisis in Germany and in the worldwide ecumenical community.
