Gestalterische und k?nstlerische Experimente haben zu neuen, die gewohnten Definitionen von Schmuck ?berschreitenden, auf den Stadtraum bezogenen Objekten, performativen Systemen, Aktionen, tempor?ren oder permanenten Installationen und Interventionen gef?hrt. Die konzeptionelle Struktur der Ausstellung bildet ein breites und vielf?ltiges Spektrum der entwickelten k?nstlerische Prozesse ab, die den Stadtraum auf unterschiedliche Weise transformieren. Die entstandenen Konzepte reichen von ortsunabh?ngigen Gestaltungen, die in den Kategorien Material und Inspiration zusammen gefasst sind, bis hin zu ortsspezifischen und ortsbezogenen Formen der Interaktion mit ausgew?hlten Orten und Situationen, die den Kategorien Exploration, B?hne, Anlass und Aufforderung zugeordnet sind. Alle Projekte sind verbunden durch eine analytische und prozesshafte Untersuchung des D?sseldorfer Stadtraums, sowie durch eine experimentelle Vorgehensweise und vielf?ltige mediale Dokumentation der entstandenen Arbeiten. Durch sie wird unsere Wahrnehmung des st?dtischen Raums ver?ndert und neue urbane R?ume der Interaktion und Partizipation geschaffen. \"Schmuck als urbaner Prozess\" is a research and exhibition project initiated in 2012 by the Design Department of the D?sseldorf University of Applied Sciences and the Stadtmuseum of the City of D?sseldorf, the capital city of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Under the same title, the results were shown in an exhibition and are now presented in this book. In various seminars and courses and under the guidance of Professors Elisabeth Holder and Gabi Schillig, students explored the different manifestations of jewellery or adornment in urban space. The creative and artistic experiments led to new objects, performative systems, actions, temporary or permanent installations and interventions that are based on urban space and transcend the definition of jewellery. The conceptual structure of the exhibition is a broad and diverse range of developed artistic processes that transform the urban space in different ways. The concepts presented in the exhibition range from site-unspecific designs that fall under the categories of Material and Inspiration, to site-specific and site-related forms of interaction with selected places and situations that are sorted in the categories of Exploration, Stage, Occasion, and Invitation. All the projects are linked by an analytical and process-oriented exploration of the D?sseldorf cityscape, as well as by an experimental approach and diverse media documentation of the resulting works.
