As Derrick Pratt says, \"most of the map is taken up with the backbone of the Berwyn Mountains, desolate, thinly populated moorlands\" but the map also shows a long stretch of the Bala \u0026amp; Dolgelley line, and the final few miles of the Tanat Valley Railway. On the back we include an extract from Montgomery Sheet 4.12, showing Llangynog in detail, including the inclines up to the Craig Rhiwarth Slate Quarries.
