Avec cet ouvrage, nous avons souhaité réaliser une synthèse problématisée de données disponibles concernant l'épigraphie lapidaire en gaulois transalpin et dépasser la notion d'inventaire. Notre propos vise donc à mieux comprendre en quoi l'épigraphie en langue gauloise sur pierre nous renseigne sur la structuration de la société celtique de Gaule transalpine entre le II\u003csup\u003ee\u003c\/sup\u003e s. a. C. et le I\u003csup\u003eer\u003c\/sup\u003e s. p. C. We seek to enhance our understanding of how Gaulish-language inscriptions on stone shed light on the social structures of Celtic society in Transalpine Gaul between the second century BC and the first century AD.
