In some cases, more detailed drawings have been included to explain features of design introduced to overcome specific difficulties encountered: in primary and secondary suspension systems, types of flexible drive employed between motor and wheel, and the collection of power supply from overhead wires or lineside conductor rail, problems which are not always fully appreciated.
