Our objective was to review the epidemiological profile of cervical cancer in Senegal, its MRI semiology, the degree of spread according to the FIGO-MRI classification, and to assess surveillance. The results are as follows: Cervical cancers accounted for 36.7% of all pelvic MRIs performed during this period. The average age of the patients was 45.7 years. The MRI was normal in two patients with subclinical cervical tumors classified as FIGO-MRI stage IA. All lesions appeared as T1 hyposignal, with diffusion restriction. Their T2 signal was variable, with contrast enhancement in 96% of cases. Stage IIB was the most common (56%), followed by stage IVA (28%). One in three patients referred for post-surgical follow-up had local recurrence. Cervical cancer is a real public health problem; MRI is an essential tool in the management of this disease.","brand":"Our Knowledge Publishing","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53822487527766,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0925\/5829\/5382\/files\/product_image_9786209556999_1_38e8769c-64d3-4c23-aa8f-b482fdd18afc.jpg?v=1783432607","url":"https:\/\/www.momoxbooks.com\/products\/abdoulaye-diop-n-mri-in-the-management-of-cervical-cancer-9786209556999","provider":"momoxbooks","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
